iMbokodo supports local community by donating food parcels to relieve the poor
iMbokodo, 20 April 2020 – iMbokodo has witnessed the havoc Covid-19 has borne on communities worldwide and believe business too should play its part in alleviating the effects of the disease on local communities. In that light, through a charitable donation to the Hillsong Africa Foundation, iMbokodo has provided R100,000 of hunger relief to local communities.
Food security is a major concern at present for which we have been playing an active role in helping to support many families with the most essential food items over the last few weeks. There are many more families in need hence our appeal for support in assisting those families. iMbokodo is launching an appeal to other businesses to support its efforts in alleviating some of the distress caused by Covid-19 and the necessary lockdown.
iMbokodo has well established relationships in some of the most impoverished communities in both Cape Town and Gauteng. Our dedicated team will ensure that these resources are hand delivered and distributed to those most in need. Covid-19 will remain a challenge for our business and the economy as a whole, for some time to come. We are concerned that business should team up with government and other private initiatives to help #FlattenTheCurve and get our economy working again, to full capacity.
